This high performance Bilstein front shock set has 3 spring seat positions you can choose that provide approximately 0"-2.5" lift with your factory coils; the lowest notch provides a stock ride height, the second notch provides 1.25" lift and the top notch 2.5" approximate lift. The notches support an easy to move spring clip that supports and locks the spring seat in place. These are made to work with your factory coils but we have some customers who run these with coils such as OME 2880, OME 2881, OME 2883, Toytec 112-620, Wheeler’s T1. We can assemble coils on these shocks for you to simplify your installation process, we’ve got that option listed below.

1/17: We now have these in two different versions. We have the original BE5-D558-TO shock that has been around for years (built by Bilstein exclusively for Race Car Dynamics) as well as the new 24-248730 available directly from Bilstein. The 24-248730 has 4 spring seat clip grooves and the BE5-D558-TO has 3 spring seat clip grooves. The 4th clip groove on 24-248730 is slightly higher than D558’s highest clip groove which indicates that it has the ability to provide more lift or preload than D558. The D558 is approximately 5/8" longer when fully extended. The D558 has a heavy duty primary shaft wiper protecting the main shaft seal instead of the plastic boot that 24-248730 uses. One thing you’ll definitely notice is that D558 costs considerably less than 24-248730. We’ve got some comparison pictures in the gallery for your review.

These struts don’t come with new stem cushions or washers; you can re-use your existing cushions and washers or we offer them separately.
